Calling all rumbling tummies and thirsty throats! The ever popular Fine Food Fair is back at National Trust Calke Abbey on Sunday 27 July when the air will be full of tantalising smells and tempting treats. Local brews and fruity juices will help to wash things down, so come prepared for a real feast of delights.
Taste and buy from a delicious line-up of locally grown, raised, baked and caught delicacies – all sourced within a 30 minute radius of the Calke estate. Calke Abbey chefs will also be cooking up some tasty dishes with the freshest local ingredients for you to try.
Richard Levy, Visitor Experience Manager at Calke Abbey said, ‘Visitors will be able to taste their way around the exhibits with lots of nibbles to sample before buying anything. The biggest problem will be knowing when to stop and avoid spoiling your appetite for tea time!’
The restaurant will be serving up a tasty selection of fresh meals including barbequed pulled pork, beef burgers and lamb burgers all sourced from Calke Abbey estate making the event a real culinary celebration.
The Fine Food Fair will be hosted in the Riding School from 11am to 4pm. Normal per person park admission and parking charges will apply and no booking is necessary.
