The first is an award of 4 stars by the AA for high standards of facilities and services. On his recent visit to the hotel, AA inspector Salvatore Scotti was so impressed with his findings he awarded the hotel a fourth star firmly placing it amongst the best in the UK. “A splendid result”, confirmed Mr Scotti.
The AA’s standards and rating system is recognised as the number one classification to which quality hotels aspire not least because the rating scheme gives guests confidence when they are choosing where to stay. To achieve a 4 star rating is no easy task. Inspectors turn up unannounced having booked incognito, to test all the facilities and services from looking in corners for dust to consistency across all courses at dinner. The Cavendish Hotel already holds 2 AA rosettes for its food which complements the 4 star certification.
A Top Ten accreditation from Classic British Hotels came hot on the heels of the AA award. Classic British Hotels is a collection of over 70 luxury independent hotels in the UK, each having its own distinct style, whilst meeting the high standards required to be part of the consortium. Like the AA an anonymous and independent inspection resulted in the Cavendish Hotel being named one of the top ten hotels in the group.
A delighted Philip Joseph, Managing Director at the Cavendish Hotel, said, “Credit must go to the staff for these two recent honours. We’ve undertaken considerable investment including refurbishing bedrooms, but it’s really down to the whole team’s warm welcome and ‘can do’ attitude that makes the difference, giving guests a really enjoyable stay.”
In celebration of these two awards, which follow Chatsworth’s recent Best UK Picnic Spot award, the Cavendish Hotel is offering a ‘Picnic in the Park’ package with Champagne. At £399 per couple, it gives guests a saving of £50. The celebration one night package includes dinner in the 2 AA rosette Gallery Restaurant; overnight in a lovely room overlooking the estate; full Derbyshire country breakfast and two tickets to Chatsworth together with a traditional hamper filled with a freshly prepared picnic full of goodies courtesy of Head Chef Mike Thompson and a half bottle of Laurent Perrier Champagne. Guests can take home the hamper as a memory of their stay.
