Peak Pursuits Launches an Easter of Adventure

Peak Pursuits at Tittesworth WaterOutdoor pursuits provider Peak Pursuits host a Fun Day on Sunday 6th April 2014 at their centre at Tittesworth Water to launch an Easter programme packed with fun and adventure. Now in its fifth year, the annual centre launch event has become a favourite with people living in or visiting the Staffordshire Moorlands.

Make a splash in canoes, kayaks and katakanu’s or take aim at the archery range. Those with a head for heights can try out a mobile climbing wall or traverse the challenges on the mobile high ropes course. Between 12midday-5pm these Fun Day activities are all available for only £3 per person and no advanced booking is required.

Centre Manager, Adam Rutter says, “We always look forward to this fun Open Day. It creates a real buzz and gets the 2014 season off to a great start!”

Peak Pursuits are running a programme of activities for children aged 7-14 years throughout the Easter fortnight:

Ages 7-14 yrs
£25 per single day or book a full week (5 days) for £100 at Peak Pursuits at Tittesworth, The Fishing Lodge, Tittesworth Reservoir, Meerbrook, nr Leek, Staffs, ST13 8SH

8-8.30am drop off. Collect at 4-4.30pm. Additional late stay supervision until 5.45pm available – £5.50 extra

Monday 14th April – Paddlesports at Tittesworth Water

Tuesday 15th April – Sailing at Astbury Mere (departing from Tittesworth Water)

Wednesday 16th April – Climbing & Abseiling at The Roaches (departing from Tittesworth Water)

Thursday 17th April – Multi Activity Day (Archery, Bushcraft, Orienteering) at Tittesworth Water

Friday 18th April – Scrambling at The Roaches (departing from Tittesworth Water)

Monday 21st April – Scrambling at The Roaches (departing from Tittesworth Water)

Tuesday 22nd April – Paddlesports at Tittesworth Water

Wednesday 23rd April – Sailing at Astbury Mere (departing from Tittesworth Water)

Thursday 24th April – Climbing & Abseiling at The Roaches (departing from Tittesworth Water)

Boat Hire is available during centre opening hours. Sit-on kayaks (£7), canoes (£15) and katakanu’s (£20) can be hired by the hour. Advanced booking is not required and Peak Pursuits staff will kit you out with buoyancy aids, paddles, and get you started.

Kids Paddlesports Club Children aged 5-16 can try several paddle sports and activities including, canoeing, kayaking and raft building for just £7 per session.

Beginners – 10am to 11am.

Intermediate – 11.30am to 12.30pm.

The Kids Club runs every Sunday morning from 13th April to 26th October 2014. Advanced booking and payment is essential by calling 01782 722226. Participants will have the opportunity to gain BCU (British Canoe Union) Paddle Power and Star Award accreditation.
