Nominations are now being sought for the Derbyshire Food and Drink Awards with 12 categories up for grabs including best restaurant, gastro pub, traditional pub and café, as well as awards for the best healthy-eating venue, best newcomer and best Derbyshire breakfast.
Councillor Godfrey Claff, executive member for regeneration at High Peak Borough Council, said: “Last year the winner of the ‘best newcomer’ was the Three Roofs’ Café in Castleton and it would be great to see High Peak businesses well represented again this year.
“There are lots of fantastic food and drink business in the borough and I’m really keen that local firms take up this opportunity as it can really help businesses to showcase themselves to a wider customer base and put them on the gastro map.”
The deadline for entries is Thursday 10 October. Celebrity chef Simon Rimmer, star of Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch programme, will present the winners with their awards at a celebration dinner at Chesterfield Football Club’s Proact Stadium on 23 January next year.
