For those of you who have not heard of Haddon Hall it is probably the finest example of a fortified medieval manor house in existence. Present-day Haddon Hall dates from the 12th Century to the early 17th Century, whereupon it lay dormant for over two hundred years from 1700 until the 1920s, when the 9th Duke and Duchess of Rutland restored the house and gardens, and once again made it habitable.
Haddon has also featured in many films including The Princess Bride, Pride and Prejudice, The Other Boleyn Girl and most recently Jane Eyre and guess who stayed with us!!
Book our special “Hall & Hotel” package which is available Monday and Tuesday throughout October until 21 November 2012 and from 27 January until 12th March 2013 at £195.00 per room (based on 2 people sharing) to include a 3 course bar dinner.
