Visit Peak District Facebook

Visit Peak District have set up individual Facebook Pages that will focus on the communities within the four counties that make up the Peak District holiday destination. Community Pages are a new type of Facebook Page dedicated to a topic or experience that is owned collectively by the community connected to it. Just like the Visit Peak District Official Page, each of the Peak District Community Pages will allow you to connect with people who live in, work or are visiting the respective Peak District county, who share similar interests and experiences.

  1. I think I much preferred just ‘The Peak District’ as a whole. There are more tourists here than ever – too many for my liking! I’m from very close to the Staffordshire/Derbyshire/Cheshire borders so have to like all three. I didn’t know there was any Peak District in Yorkshire!

    • The original plan was to keep everything more centralised, however the Peak District Derbyshire community group has done so well in terms of fans that we thought it would be fair to create a community for the other counties within the Peak District. You will still receive all information channeleed through Visit Peak District’s main Facebook page, but we are hoping that these new groups will follow the way of the Derbyshire Page and be very about the community through user generated content. This can be through inclusion within status updates, tags in images, videos etc…
      The Peak District also covers parts of South Yorkshire. Thank you for reading!
