HIGH Peak Borough Council and partners have lined up a string of events and one-to-one surgeries for businesses and would-be entrepreneurs this autumn.
Highlights of the Autumn of Enterprise programme include manufacturing and export workshops at which employers can arrange face-to-face sessions with experts from UK Trade and Investment (UKTI), and the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) at their place of business.
Lots of dates will be available for businesses wishing to discuss their ambitions and problems with UKTI and MAS advisors.
What is more, tax workshops for budding entrepreneurs will take place in Buxton and Glossop while a creative industries road show in Buxton’s Pavilion Gardens will offer a chance for people making a living from the arts to learn from their peers and gain expert advice.
Godfrey Claff, portfolio holder for regeneration, said: “Support for businesses will be an important component in the economic recovery. Unfortunately, nationally-provided business support is now less available and accessible than it was. This is why the borough council is doing all it can to provide local support for local businesses.”
