Elyzian Hospitality to improve accessibility of Callow Hall

Now undergoing a refurbishment to improve hotel access, Callow Hall is set to receive a partial face lift, lifting the accessibility standards to those set by multi award-winning sister establishment, East Lodge Hotel and Restaurant in Rowsley. Following the recent acquisition of Callow Hall by Elyzian Hospitality, the family owned business is keen to ensure that both estates offer all potential guests the opportunity to enjoy the luxury venues to the full.

Iain Hardman, Deputy Managing Director of East Lodge and Callow Hall, said: “We spent a considerable amount of time researching accessibility in the hospitality sector and talking to our customers about what was on their wish list when staying in a top quality hotel. It’s not just about meeting the very basic requirements so we can say we cater for those with access issues; it’s more about ensuring that every single one of our guests can enjoy the luxury experience, without exclusion.”

“It is essential that we maintain the standards across the board” Iain added.  “After the refurbishments to improve disabled access at East Lodge in 2009, it was a natural progression for us to uphold these standards and ethics at Callow Hall. The award we received for accessibility suite at East Lodge and the feedback we receive from guests show that we got it right there; when we acquired Callow Hall a few months ago, we could see that with a few simple changes, the same standards could be implemented pretty quickly.”

Callow Hall is a unique country house hotel with an unrivalled setting and renowned restaurant, situated at the gateway to the Peak District National Park, close to the lively market town of Ashbourne. The hotel has 16 en suite bedrooms in total, all individually and tastefully furnished to provide every comfort, and some with uninterrupted views across the countryside.

Surrounded by 35 acres of private garden, fields and woodland overlooking the Bentley Brook and vale of the River Dove, this ivy-clad Victorian hotel really is a haven of peace and tranquillity but also a perfect base for exploring the splendours that Derbyshire and the ´Peaks´ have to offer.
