Commenting, Sir Richard FitzHerbert, owner of the 17th Century Tissington Hall said ’I’m really pleased to host the Fete in our grounds especially as the rose gardens look wonderful at present. As a tiny village we have a huge target to reach in order to renovate the organ which hasn’t been touched for over 50 years! It’s beginning to ‘groan’ at the moment and it’s about time that it needed a full reinvigoration. I hope the Fete will raise a substantial about on the day’.
In addition the Derbyshire Dales District Council have sponsored the event by contributing to the costs of the Osmaston Wind Band who will be playing in the beautiful setting.
