….while the sun shines. And what a challenge that has been for the farmers this year. Day after day of deluge, although the recent increase in temperatures has given a timely boost to growth. Traditionally haylage is left in the fields for a couple of days to dry out a bit before baling and storage. It makes the grass lighter and it stores longer. I conceived the first shot when I made the second (if that makes sense) but timing and bad weather interfered last year so had to leave the haymaking shot til this year. Even so I was nearly undone by the weather again and only just made the shot in time as the grass was gathered in the following morning !
