CAN YOU ACT LIKE A TOURIST ON FILM?

The Coach Tourism Council is making a new tourism film to promote coach travel to places like the Peak District.

Could you play a coach travelling tourist in the film? We are looking for slightly more senior folk to appear in the film: ideally over 50 years old.

You will be required on Tuesday 3rd of July, starting in Buxton (9am) but finishing by 4pm.

Below is a guideline of what will be filmed (this is not the absolute final programme).  They will start with exterior shots at The Palace Hotel in Buxton at 9am on Tuesday 3rd July and then capture the following:

  • Buxton – Palace Hotel (people leaving hotel, luggage into coach)
  • Chatsworth – (sweeping drive, exterior of attraction and shots of entry at ticket booths)
  • Bretton – sits on a ridge, fantastic views – (lunch stop – lunch provided)
  • Eyam – well-known plague village, stocks on village green, museum, book ‘The Year of Wonders’
  • Monsal Head – lay-by, fabulous classic view of the Peak District over Monsal Dale including Monsal Viaduct
  • Buxton Dome (cups of tea/coffee provided, interior & exterior shots)

The filming of the cast will be finished by 3:30 or 4pm at the latest.

INCENTIVES/REWARDS:

The CTC will be providing a free day trip pass for each volunteer for an Andrew’s of Tideswell excursion and a discount pass for the spa at the Buxton Dome.  Lunch and tea or coffee will also be provided for each member of the cast.
